Still waiting on a NOS harness for my BC-1000 radio from Armyparts4u.com and waiting for the Handset and Headset from Fair Radio to go with it.

Currently looking for a BA-70 or BA-80 battery, and green crinkle paint to repaint the radio casing.

Recently acquired a pair of pre-war Otto Walter 12x bino's, with original leather case.

Struggling to find much info on them (any links appreciated) but I'm sure that the £10.00 that I paid was a good deal !? :D

Headset and Handset for my BC-1000 arrived from Fair Deal Radios.

Strange how a package from the States got here faster than the one from that Dutch company, ordered on the same day

sold my old FB BD jacket and trousers (and 3 belts). Have bought a small Union pennant that was still in its packaging. Otherwise I'm watching the pennies unfortunately....

Elsecar was fun-rather wet Sunday-full battle in the rain and 3 full mags fired off in seconds-great fun!

Emailed Armyparts4u.nl and asked them what's keeping my order. Turns out they packaged the stuff up but forgot to send it because of all the fairs they had to go to.
Should have my parcel by tomorrow. :good:

Couple of books-

STEEL POTS,VOLUME II-Painted Steel.

Was expecting better to be honest-more colour pics would have been nice and was hoping for some pics of the Nam Arvn Rangers helmets for reference but not a single one at all even though it covers up to modern era

Infantry Training Vol I-The Light Machine Gun.

Excellent MOD book dated 1948 but all pics look WW2 vintage.

Marschstiefel from Zeugmeisterei

They were brown - now blackened up, just a few more layers of Lederfett on the soles to do before the weekend

A nice, virtually un-issued 37 pattern belt set to the size of a small boy for some odd reason! Also a 41 dated, KG3 blancoed pistol holster! (been wanting one since I was a lad watching Dad's army!!) Oddly it has the bottom where the revolver/pistol barrel would sit missing, looks like it has been removed badly rather than worn.

Would a 2nd Lieutenant of an Airborne unit have carried his own entrenching tool on his battle webbing or did Officers not carry them?

Ta

Jason
